WE ARE BOMBARDED WITH INFORMATION ON DIETS AND NUTRITION ON A REGULAR BASIS. THERE IS ALWAYS ANOTHER ARTICLE IN THE PAPERS ABOUT THE LATEST FOOD FAD AND EVERYONE WANTS TO TRY THE LATEST CRAZE.
Unfortunately a complete diet change very rarely works and there is certainly never a one-size-fits-all approach. There are a few reasons for this.
Firstly, a complete diet overhaul can be very intrusive to your lifestyle. Eating is a habit that you do several times per day and to change the entire habit takes time and constant dedication with a high failure rate.
Secondly, everyone is different and comes with different nutritional needs and lifestyle boundaries. Just because one diet is good for someone does not mean it is good for everyone so even if you could stick to one of these unnecessarily strict eating regimes that still doesn’t mean it’s going to work for you.
